Simon promotes the 2010 team
Simon Storage Ltd (“Simon”) is delighted to announce a number of internal promotions in recognition of the strong skills and experience of its senior managers.
Immingham Terminals
Keith Jackson has been appointed Director of Immingham Storage Company Ltd, and will join the Senior Management Group. Keith first joined Simon in November 1986 as Operations Superintendent at its Seal Sands Terminal on Teesside. In January 1989 Keith was appointed Terminal Manager of Simon’s Tyne Terminal, from where he went in January 1997 to manage Simon’s Immingham East Terminal on the Humber, and then in June 2003 to the West Terminal as Terminal Manager. In May 2006, Keith was promoted to Senior Terminal Manager with responsibility for both the Immingham Terminals and also Simon’s Irish Terminal in Foynes on the Shannon.
Andrew Rhodes has been appointed Terminal Manager of Immingham East Terminal from February 2010 in succession to Andrew Drayton who will be leaving Simon to take up an overseas appointment. Andy joined Simon in June 2001 as Safety Officer at its Immingham West Terminal, and was promoted to Deputy Terminal Manager at Immingham East Terminal in September 2007.
Seal Sands and Riverside Terminals
David Lyon has been appointed Terminal Manager of Simon’s Seal Sands and Riverside Terminals on the Tees, effective January 2010. He succeeds Mike McIntyre who will be retiring in 2010 after an amazing 34 years with Simon.
David joined Simon’s Cumbrian Terminal in July 1979, becoming the Manager of the Terminal in April 1988. In June 2003 David also assumed responsibility for Simon’s Tyne Terminal, giving him wider operational and commercial experience.
Tyne Terminal
Alastair Bulmer becomes Terminal Manager in January 2010, having gained significant operational experience at Simon’s Seal Sands Terminal since July 1991, progressing from Safety Officer to Operations Manager to Deputy Terminal Manager in June 2000.
